Use Your Resources
Your family will take on ultimate importance to you. Meeting your family's needs will become your basic responsibility in life.
With mom focused on the baby, you may need to be your family's resource manager. Don't forget to use all available resources when it will help.
The wide range includes:
- Free or low cost medical services
- Medical information
- Employment training
- Marriage counseling
- Social worker at the hospital
Find available resources by asking. This may be uncomfortable to you at first. Ask your friends, church, librarian, doctor, county social services, etc.
Scope them out, and be assertive in going after them. Don't be shy; you are not asking for yourself, you are doing your job as a dad and taking care of your family.
